Our Story
Jenkins-White Elementary School (JWES) is an accredited inner-city school located on the industrial outskirts of Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia. It is located on 15th Avenue near the Medical College of Georgia and Paine College. Enrollment data reveals that JWES serves a low socio-economic student population compared to both the district and the state. JWES has a student population of approximately 232 students pre-kindergarten to fifth grade that are supported by 60 faculty and staff member.

College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) is Georgia’s statewide accountability system. The CCRPI assesses how well students are prepared for college and careers, and ensures that schools are focused on improving achievement among all students. The index measures student achievement on indicators such as content mastery, student growth on progress, subgroup performance on closing gaps, and various areas including Lexile performance, attendance, and other academic based measurements. Schools earn CCRPI points based on indicators that vary by grade and school level and align with measures of college- and career-readiness. Each individual component score is on a scale of 0-100.
